Painting, does anyone really like to do it? I am a horrible painter, it usually winds up in my hair, on the floor and everywhere else in the house except on the wall. Now the problem is, I love color on the walls, many colors! So my fiance gets to do all the painting while I get to "supervise". Lucky him!
One time "we" painted a room and my Mom came over and said "Oh, it's Pumpkin"? To which I replied, "No Mom, it's Terra Cotta". Even I would not paint a wall Pumpkin. My Mom's favorite wall colors are white and off white, so she was a little shocked.
Does any one else have 100 color swatches from Home Depot or is it just me? I just can't seem to choose colors but when I do, look out. They are the type of colors that if you get it on the ceiling or the molding, you have to repaint them. So we have cans of ceiling white, and cans of semi- gloss for the moldings.
At the moment we are painting the master bath a "light mocha", which is not really light, and we do have to do some touch ups on the ceiling, much to the happiness of my fiance. But I love it! Color just makes the room pop!
We did buy Point and Paint, we thought we could get away without taping, not true. I will say that P & P is very good for getting the first coat on and then using a roller for the second coat.
So I say, just go for it, you can always repaint it, which we did many times. As long as my fiance is willing, I will be painting away, except next time not on a Saturday night!
